Bénédicte LAJARRIGE is a self-taught French artist born in 1969 in Auxerre (Yonne), who lives and works in Auvergne.
In 1990, after a career in interior design, Bénédicte embarked on a career as an artist, fulfilling a teenage dream that had never left her.

Focusing on pure creation rather than a specific theme, message or theory, she composes paintings that capture light, accentuate transparency and, above all, find their main expression in colour.
From colour and its variations, "I first create my palette in search of sensations and harmonies. Once the palette has been chosen, as well as the format of the canvas, knives, brushes and paintbrushes get to work, always accompanied by music. By freeing my movements in this way, I find the rhythm and breath of my composition."
